Week 3~Jen's Maternity

Last Saturday, I went to Tuscaloosa to do images for my Bestest Friend Forever. We had a good day, although kind of long, and got a lot of good images. I would definitely love to do this more often! It was so much fun, and I could definitely use some more, ok ok... ALOT more practice, lol. This week I have played with my Photoshop a little bit, and below is a before and after image...I absolutely adore this shot!!! It is definitely magazine worthy, if I do say so myself ;)

Week 2~Theme is Cold

We rarely ever get snow in Mississippi! And when we do get it, it either doesn't stick, or melts by midday! So imagine our surprise when it lasted for days! The family and I went out first thing Monday morning to play in it! We made a snowgirl (which daddy corrupted *rolls eyes*), we threw snowballs, and we done some makeshift sledding with a beach boogie board! All in all, it was a fabulous day! My favorite picture from that day was Aubrey feeding Aidan some fresh snow. You can't get any sweeter than this! (Their idea, not mine ;) )

Week 1~Theme is New

Here is week 1's photo! The theme was new. This is my brand new 50mm 1.8 lense I got for a Christmas gift. I've actually already had a lense like this, but it somehow got broken.

Project 52~A year in photo's will begin tomorrow!

So I'll be back tomorrow night to post my first picture. The theme is *new*, which is very fitting since we are heading into a brand NEW year. I have an idea for this picture, and will work on it tomorrow :) Happy New Year to everyone!

Just practicing some more...

...it seems I need ALOT of that, lol!!! I took pictures of Aubrey yesterday, and tried to do some self portraits of myself...which didn't turn out so well. I need alot more practice on that.......Anyways, enjoy :)

Just My Kids

I went out today just knowing I would get a TON of great shots, especially since it was cloudy, but no, Aubrey was soooo uncooperative!!!! SHe just WON'T listen, or sit still, or keep eye contact, sheesh she won't even keep her eyes FULLY open! She is the hardest kid to photograph! But we did manage a few good shots, especially of Aidan and Addisyn. I needed a picture of the two of them for birthday invites :) I just did not have very many Aidan/Addisyn pictures...its always Aubrey/Addisyn, lol!

Gabbie & Taylor

My nieces! They are the sweetest, cutest girls. Ever! There's just one but....Taylor absolutely HATES taking pictures! Which is my love. She was soo hard to photograph, but I think we did ok. You can see some of her stubborness in these pictures.

PS...MOMS and DADS, the absolute WORSE thing you can do while your child is being photographed is stand in the background and holler "SMILE, LOOK at the camera, I'll give you a sucker if....you're not getting any candy cause you won't smile"....and ON and ON and ON! It. Just. Doesn't. Work! ESPECIALLY for strong willed children like Taylor. Please, Let the *photographer* (and I use this term very loosely, as I am by far not a professional) engage your child, and if he/she just won't cooperate, maybe then you step in as a parent. TIA
